Handmade Parade is a collection of artists and event makers based around Hebden Bridge who create stunning community-generated celebrations. Handmade Parade delivers an annual mid-summer parade in Hebden Bridge as well as the Todmorden ‘Lamplighter Festival’ and run a year-round programme of events to take our artists and celebration art workshops into communities across the north of England and beyond.  Find out more

Fire and Water / Winterlight

Fire and Water was established to discuss the viability of repurposing the old Fire Station, Council Offices and Swimming baths as a creative hub.  With visual arts, theatre, music and festival Winterlight Illuminated Festival aimed to demonstrate the depth of talent and also the audience potential for such a project. The hard work has resulted in the asset transfer of the buildings. The development of the buildings as a community resource can now begin, and as a bonus, Winterlight has become a popular annual feature.

Hebden Bridge Arts Festival is one of Yorkshire’s longest running festivals with a reputation for delivering a lively and diverse programme of street entertainment, visual arts, music and theatre in surprising locations.  Quirky and distinctive, we bring together community and visitors to celebrate our town’s creativity and unique landscape, culminating in an annual 9 day celebration each summer. 2017's theme is water and we are aiming to reflect and explore some of the ways in which water has shaped the valley and its people.  Find out more...
