About Landlines and Watermarks
Landlines and Watermarks is an exciting new project telling the story of a place and a people shaped by water. Presented by 509 Arts in partnership with the people of the Calder Valley, it will use local stories to present tales of change - in music and song, parade and performance, and through community celebration.

A rootin' tootin' People's Opera!
Calderland is a big musical celebration, drawing together singers and musicians from across the valley. The community production will tell the story of the Calder valley and its relationship with water and be presented at the end of September in the Piece Hall, Halifax

The Calderdale People’s Fair will bring together the individuals, institutions and organisations that shape the life of the Calder Valley. The People's Fair takes place on the last weekend of September 2017, showing off Calderdale in its Sunday Best.

A series of creative events and artworks - new commissions - inspired by and based in each of the 6 flood affected towns in Calderdale: Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge, Brighouse and Elland, will take place throughout the Summer.
